New 2020 Census Video, Song Remind Us to Stand and Be Counted

Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau is tasked with counting every resident in the nation.

A complete and accurate count of California’s population determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and how billions of dollars in federal funds a year are distributed to local communities.

More than 70 federal programs that benefit California, including education, health and human services and transportation, use Census information to develop their funding plans.

Check out our new video, produced in collaboration with Communities for a New California Education Fund, which features Faith in the Valley leaders talking about the importance of making sure everyone is counted in the 2020 Census.
